This week at their Zoomtopia conference, Zoom announced several new planned innovations that will further enhance your connection and collaboration regardless of location.
Zoom Events Conference
Rolling out later in the Autumn, this is an innovation that will allow hosts to plan more sophisticated virtual events. Features on this new platform will include an event lobby, chat, networking, sponsors, surveys, recordings, analytics, and more.
Zoom Video Engagement Center
The thinking behind this Zoom add-on is to allow customers to connect with experts via video to ask questions, solve problems and build rapport and trust. Described as a ‘structured and immersive virtual environment’.
Zoom Whiteboard
A brilliant tool for teams that rely on collaboration. The whiteboard will act as a digital canvas, allowing real-time collaboration similar to an in-person experience. A fantastic tool for creating more visually engaging, virtual meetings.
Live Translation and Transcription
Great news for teams working with colleagues and customers across the globe. Zoom meetings will now have the option to add real-time, automated translations. The existing live transcription service will now be expanded to include multiple languages.
Hot Desking
Zoom’s envisioned hot-desking solution, available later this year, will allow employees to reserve desks and spaces in their offices using an interactive map.
Zoom Continuous Collaboration
With these planned enhancements, users would benefit from the ability to share files, recordings and chats from Zoom Meetings to Zoom Chat for easy reference and collaboration on documents and integration with file-sharing solutions – all without having to leave the Zoom client.
Zoom Widget
This new tool is planned to provide a view at-a-glance schedule, that could enable users to see who is already in the meeting and notify the host using Zoom Chat if they are running late. For people in back-to-back meetings, Zoom Widget will help them manage time, expectations, and keep their teammates in the know.
